- Walk as briskly as you can
- Walk until you get tired but not too long after that
- Be consistent
- Have a regular time for walking, preferably early morning
- Be as close to nature as possible
- Invest in comfortable footwear
- Try to concentrate on your breath and cultivate mindfulness while walking.
- Don't expect instant results. Enjoy the walk and avoid focusing on targets such as burning of calories
