This is the story of my son, who was diagnosed for leukaemia ( A.L.L.)
at the age of 18 months. Iqbal or so called IKKY, received his treatment
from Ireland, St. Columbus Hospital, Chicago, Mayo Hospital, Rochester
and Albany Medical Centre, New York and finally he had bone marrow transplant
in the royal Marsden Cancer Hospital, London, UK. After the relapse he
was brought to India at the age of 6 years for his final destination and
to ensure his grand parents and all other relatives to meet him before
his expected end.
We arrived on 8th July from London after we were told to take him to Ireland,
his home and give him good life. We were told that his expected end will
take 6 to 8 weeks. Asha, his mother and I decided to bring him to his
father's land.
We were given a letter from the Medical team at the Royal Marsden Hospital,
a specialized Cancer Hospital in South London, UK, to hand over to the
doctors at our destination. We handed it over to the doctors in All India
of Medical Science, New Delhi. The started looking after our lkky to ensure
the protocol was kept on and he received his blood requirements etc.
An Angel by the name of Dr. Vikram Khushoo was on the team, monitoring
lkky. Dr. Khushoo took me into his office and asked me to take Ikky to
Meerut to an Ayurvedic Vaidya. After living in the western world
for so long, I did not give any heed to his advice.
2nd
of August, 1986 was very important day for us. It was suppose to be Ikky's
last birthday, we could celebrate in his life. Which we did by inviting
everyone, we knew to meet Ikky. Dr. Khushoo was one of the guests.
Dr. Khushoo, that night forced me to take Ikky to Meerut as Ikky's health
was deteriorating.
Next day, I traveled to Meerut to see this Vaidya. I found a young guy
sitting on Vaidya's seat while expecting to be met with an old man with
long beard etc.

Diagnosis : Pleomorphic adenoma of salivary gland, April, 1991
Referring hospital : Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai (Ref.no. BD-7616)
Diagnostic method : Histopathology, CT scan
Allopathic treatment : Operated for removal of salivary gland
Status before Ayurvedic treatment : Lymphadenopathy

Current status : No lymphadenopathy since Ayurvedic treatment. GC
Normal. No side effect.
I
was operated upon for removal of the salivary gland in April 1991 since
it had grown in size. After operation it was found to be malignant and
the diagnosis was Carcinoma, pleomorphic adenoma of Salivary gland. I
was advised to see Dr. Rao in Tata Memorial in Bombay. He advised me to
go for radiation. Before commencing this course of treatment I met Vaidyaji
in Delhi and I was hell bent on completing radiation and then commencing
Vaidyaji's treatment. At first he tried to convince me to take
only his treatment and not go for radiation. On my insisting that I take
radiation and then his treatment he got quite angry and told me to get
lost. So I left his clinic in Delhi but went to Dehradun a week later.
I met
Vaidyaji at his residence. He explained to me in detail why I should not
go for radiation since it would burn the salivary glands and that I shall
have no saliva in my mouth. Also he explained to me that if in case I
get cancer again then it will come in my chest and not in my neck. This
piece of information was not given to me by any of the Doctors I had met
before leaving to meet Vaidyaji. After explaining all the facts
that I was ignorant about my disease, Vaidyaji told me to make
up my mind analyzing all that was told to me and came to the conclusion
that in case I get cancer again in my chest then the doctors will give
me Chemotherapy and may be later tell me to go home with a few months
to live. And it would be at that time that I will again come to Vaidyaji
to help me. If ultimately I have to come to Vaidyaji then why not
give him a fair chance now when he is assuring me that he can cure me
of my ailment. It was then and there that I told Vaidyaji that
I shall take his medicine only and not go for radiation.
I commenced Vaidyaji's treatment which lasted for 5 years with
gaps in between as per his advice. During this 5 years of treatment, I
have been going for regular checkup to Dr. Kelkar who is an oncologist
in Poona. What he found strange or rather remarkable was that my other
salivary glands
which were also slightly large began to show signs of reduction in size.
I have been keeping absolutely fit, healthy and cheerful. I am able to
continue my daily routine as before. I wish Vaidyaji all the very
best in his endeavor to help mankind fight this dreaded disease.
