REFLEXOLOGY

INTRODUCTION

The concept of reflexology is to self-heal and correct ailments by instructing and reconditioning the neural system of the body. It is a complementary, biological, integrative health science where pressure is applied to reflex areas, thus persuading the body to biologically strengthen itself. Reflex areas can be found in the feet and hands and these correspond to the different glands and organs of the body. The most interesting part about this therapy is that the only equipment required here are your fingers!

Like most alternate systems, reflexology seeks to find and address the cause and not the symptom of any problem. What therefore happens is a complete, holistic healing.

The principle on which reflexology is based is that each of the body`s organs and glands are "linked" to corresponding areas of ears, hands and feet. The application of pressure on these points results in the energy being restored to the body, which in turn helps in strengthening of the immune system and in the natural healing system of the body functioning effectively.
