Question 1. I have recurring headaches all the time. I am a thirty year old software professional who has erratic working hours. I have had my eyes checked and this is not a problem. I cannot change the working hours and others do not seem to have this problem. What could be the spiritual reason? What can I do? - Sridhar Kishor on 15 October 2012 Headaches are often a sign of resistance to whats happening in this moment. If you are subconsciously straining yourself at work or resisting the work you do, or the environment you work in, often the body tells you with headaches. Ask yourself questions like - Question 2. I am never able to sleep peacefully, I am a 50 year old working woman, the mother of two girls. I take care of all the people in the family. I feel tired but cannot sleep. I have tried sleeping pills but even they do not work. What do I do? - Sheela Kapoor on 16 October 2012 Lack of peaceful sleep can be overwhelming. It seems as if you are unable to say no to tasks and to people and feel compelled to take care of others. When taking care of all the people in the family becomes a burden, the body gets pumped with extra adrenaline as you are in a fighting mode from deep within. You are fighting with your choice to serve others. This leads to lack of sleep as you are functioning from chaos instead of peace. When you give time to yourself and learn to take care of yourself as much as you do of others, you will find that the mind and body begin to relax and sleep becomes natural. Prioritize your day and put yourself in the list of people you need to take care of. In fact, the ideal scenario is to put yourself first. Love yourself and take care of yourself. Do simple meditation and deep breathing before you sleep and after you wake up in the morning. When you do that, you become filled with so much love that it overflows to others in your family. Then taking care of them becomes simple and easy. Great sleep will become a by product. Question 3. l am a teacher 32years age. l feel chest pain left side sometimes.l have medical tests like TMT ECG XRAY LIPID PROFILE etc. Nothing is wrong in these tests. Medicines give temprary relief. But the pain creats negative thinking, cowardness, tension inside me. Please tell me what should i do? - Sanjeev Kumar on 23 October 2012 The Heart area is one place that holds a lot of emotions including fear and shock. It is a known fact that the electromagnetic field of the heart is 5000 times bigger than that of the mind therefore that's one proof that there is a lot that goes on there. If there is pain in this area, the energies present in this area of your body are in turmoil due to the presence of certain emotions. My recommendation is to sit quietly when the pain begins, take a couple of deep breaths and relax your body. Then direct your attention to the area in the chest where there is turmoil and ask yourself the simple questions, "What is this pain trying to tell me?", "What is my body trying to tell me that I have not been listening to all these years", "what is the main emotion hidden behind this pain?". When you ask the question, wait for a few minutes for the answer. There can be a beautiful communication that you can establish with your body this way. Once you get the answer, then become aware of all the areas in your life you feel that emotion and gently begin to release it. One of the ways to release it to allow yourself to feel the emotion fully and then ask yourself if you would be willing to let this go. Then take a deep breath in and let it go. Do this a few times until you have fully released it. Question 4. Noticeable decay started at age of 40. by age of 55 all upper and lower teeth had cap or bridge. Now at age 61 all upper teeth are removed. Lower one has all caps/bridge. 3.Baldness -noticeable since age of 35.Now nearly completely bald. - Surya Prakash Vijay on 17 January 2013 Your spondilitis, tooth decay, baldness, forgetful memory are all signs of aging. Have you asked yourself what is it about aging that is so valuable to you and your body? Sometime we have stories that older people get more respect or people listen to others when they are older. Do you have any such stories? What is it about growing old so quickly that you want? What could the value be in it? Deteriorating of the body is inevitable, not doubt, but for everything to happen around the same time seems almost desired at a subconscious level. I would encourage you to ask yourself what is in this that is so important that I do not want to look and feel young anymore? Is there some benefit that you have by being perceived as old? On the other hand ask what do you lose out by being perceived as young? What is it that you are not seeing there or missing out on? Why would you invite olding, breaking and greying? Question 5. Dear Madam, I have been depressed and experiencing a sinking feeling in my gut for last 18 years. Please help?
- Dinesh Kumar on 13 January 2013 18 years is a significant amount of time to be under depression. Have you sought any therapy or treatment or have you just realized that you have been depressed? There are two states in which one's eo is the strongest. One is when we are tremendously successful with everything working in our favor and the other time is when we are depressed. Most causes of depression are unknown. I would advise you begin with Bach Flower Remedy – Mustard. Put 4 drops in half a glass of water and drink 4 times a day. Along with this, take time to examine what is it that could make you hold onto your depression. We hold on to our emotions and not the other way around. The true Self's nature is joy and abundance and any other emotions that it holds onto is general not without reason. So it is perhaps time for you to find out if you do get more love, energy and attention from family and friends when you are depressed. What would happen to your relationships if you suddenly became joyous? Are you fearful of losing people if that happened? Is there any responsibility that you are afraid to undertake and being depressed looks like the best possible way out of that? What would it take for you to honestly acknowledge that you are more afraid? What benefits do you get for being depressed, that you would lose, if you suddenly became joyous? |
