Question 66. Sir is it true that short life line signifies a short span of life in palmistry?  - Rahul Gunjal On 8 November 2009

I do not know enough about palmistry to answer this. From what I know, your lines do continue to develop. And any one conclusion is not drawn from a single line. A palmist looks for two or three lines to support a conclusion. Additionally it is not a fool proof science and there is a broad margin to interpreting any sign. I would suggest you focus on living your life to the fullest and let the length of your life be the concern of destiny that all of us face. When we focus on living to the fullest instead of searching for definite guarantees we actually add to our resilience and health that can definitely make life the length that would best serve us. Searching for guarantees is a myth as it all depends on your own participation too. Stories abound of people who work with their luck in the direction of doing what’s possible and not fretting what is missing, and we see them having a beautiful purposeful life. We want both things from life – quality and quantity. All of us would agree quality is the more important of the two as without it quantity is of no use. And quality of your life depends on how you participate in it – worrying or enjoying and being purposeful. So focus on your blessings, talents and possibilities to go forward with peace and joy.

Question 67. Am suffering from severe depression coupled with unspeakable addictions. Have been this way for so many years. Wanted to reform myself on my own but have been futile.Need your informed advise   - Ph On 8 November 2009

Trying to reform yourself alone may be difficult. I do not know what addictions you suffer from. The Alcoholics Anonymous has a very good program and the support of others in the same boat is very helpful. Therapies and psychiatric interventions can be helpful. Find a psychotherapist or psychiatrist to help you for this. Many cities do have de addiction centers or doctors specializing in these areas too. It does not matter that you suffer from this for many years; people are able to turn around in an instant sometimes after years of not knowing how to manage their addiction. Stopping the addiction happens as one sees how one’s addiction is clearly the cause of all of one’s losses, realizes that it is in one’s own hands to admit this is not working, there is help that can be taken honestly admitting this and one can begin to rebuild one’s life to a happier future.

Question 68. hi, my problem is ureaplasma urealiticum, what about this  - Ely Cris On 13 November 2009

since I am not a doctor I would not be able to advice from the medical viewpoint. However for any physiological problem you could along with the medications advised, use imagery and intention to direct your healing energies to the affected part of your body. To use imagery you need to enter your alpha state with relaxation and breathing methods, strengthen your intention to heal yourself and the intention to let the Universe’s healing energies assist you. Imagery of the healing process happening and of your self looking happy and free of the problem strengthens the intention. Alternative healing therapies (reiki, pranic healing, acupressure) that work on the energy body, the chakras and meridians do offer possibilities to heal or assist in the healing along with the medications. In a simple way faith and positive thinking are always necessary for healing. Additionally all forms of body mind methods such as yoga, tai chi or qigong are wonderful in combining breath, movement and concentration and work on both body mind levels to heal.

Question 69. I am suffering from hyperhy drosis,i.e excessive sweating of palms and feet.I freque ntly fall into depression du e to this.i`ve done iontopho rosis but no use,pls help me  - Ann Joseph On 13 November 2009

Question 70. my younger brother is drug addict(smack).he is not interested in meditation.he is taking allopathic tt bt there relapse again and again. how we can cure him completely. his age is 27 years. recurrence again and again.  - Vikram Jeet On 17 November 2009

Along with allopathic treatment he can go for the various integrated therapies that work on energy, mind and body as mentioned in the earlier answer. However for this your brother needs to participate in the treatments readily. The bigger problem with addiction is the motivation to sustain the treatments and stay with the process of step by step re building one’s life. Feeling disheartenment from their losses in life push the person to give up and return to addictions. Often the person tries to re-build their life in a rush with impulsive decisions and this creates more disappointment and loss of motivation. Going step by step and setting smaller goals for feeling successful can help them to maintain motivation and stay on course. Cognitive behaviour therapy can be helpful in having a balanced approach that in turn balances the emotions.
