I believe that you will marry the person you are destined to marry. If you explain this to yourself you will be able to get over the experience through which you are passing.

Question 92. Hello Dear Dada, I am 40 now, i have been interested in meditation, spirituality from childhood.I read Hanuman Chaleesa regularly. From the past 4 plus years i have been doing prayers daily consistently.Sometimes i keep getting the feeling my mind is still uncontrolled and the thoughts are more out of control than anyone who does no prayers at all.The mind seems to get more out of control a lot of times. Why does God not shower his belssings and give peace, focus and ultimately his vision. Am i making any progress at all in getting closer to him at all. Thanks So Much. Raj.  - - On 8 October 2009

Dear Raj, the mind has acquired the habit of wandering, birth after birth, in this endless adventure of existence. Our little abhyas that we do in this birth can not make the mind ekaagar, one pointed. But a beginning is to be made and the sooner we do it the better. It has been rightly said that if we take one step closer to God, He takes ten steps to come closer to us. Let us do our part and a stage will come when we too will be able to control the mind.

Question 93. Pranam Dadaji - My question is around attachment and detachment - how can an highly emotional person practise detachment.  - Sardar Balbeer Singh Bedi On 11 October 2009

It is easier for a highly emotional person to give up attachment to the world— its pleasures, possessions and power— if only the person gets attached to a holy man, a man of God. The more you feel drawn to holiness, the less is the pull you feel to the world, its attractions and allurements.

Question 94. I dont find any meaning in this life.I want to attain moksha. How can I attain moksha ?  - Nishant Singh On 11 October 2009

You are passing through a state of vairagya. And vairagya, inevitably, leads to moksha.

Question 95. Dear Dada, Pranam! I am Sudeshna a professional in HR with an MNC. I am keen believer of reincarnation and on karma. I want to choose the spiritual path but at the same time I want to earn money and vcannot leave my job. I plan to practice my spiritual rituals, deeds while working and take it in full fledge post my retirement. Sometime I also have no zeal to work and feel like the spiritual work is attracting me but at the same time cannot leave my job as my son is just 4 yrs old have to take care of his studies. I need your advise. Regards Sudeshna   - Sudeshna Batra On 20 October 2009

True spiritual life is being in the world but not of the world. Shri Ramakrishna Paramhansa often said to his devotees: you must live in the world but you must not let worldliness enter your heart. He also said: the boat flows on the waters, but the waters must not enter the boat else the boat will sink. I believe to be spiritual is to love God with all your heart and soul— and not the world. Do the work that is allotted to you, attend to your daily chores but not for a moment feel or believe that anything or anybody belongs to you. Our children are not ours. They belong to God. He has given them to us so that we may become their care-takers. He has given us so many things but they are not ours. They are given to us for use. Let us use them wisely and well.
