Question 96. i always get more angry on my husband and my children and later repent a lot and go into emotional disturbance. sir, can you please tell me a way to avoid anger  - Pm On 22 October 2009

Anger is your karma which you have brought with yourself. You can not fight your karma unaided. You need the help of higher powers which for want of a better word, we call God. God has two aspects— the father aspect and the mother aspect. You get quick results when you appeal to God in the mother aspect. You can pray: “Mother, I have tried to control anger but every time I have failed. It is only when your wisdom and your love, your strength and your patience flow into me that in your wisdom and love, in your strength and patience, I will be able to be victorious over anger. But the victory is not mine: it is Thine, Jai Jai Jai Jagdamba! Jai Jai Jai Jagdamba!”

Question 97. Dear Sir i want to ask you about my father . All his life he has been very dominated at home almost like a hitler. out of anger and few misunderstanding he has disowned both of his children. Since we both now independent do not go according to his wishes. as a result i feel he is hurting himself more than anybody else. I am worried abt his health since he is a heart patient. My mother is too weak in front of him. he never understood her also the entire life and treated her like his private property. Insulting her everywhere in any gathering. he felt proud in overpowering us. i want him to live in peace. please find me some way  - Ab On 22 October 2009

You should pray for him— pray to God that, in His mercy, the Lord may give peace to your father’s heart. He is in the evening of his life. May his heart be touched with the peace that passeth, surpasseth understanding.

Question 98. Respected Dadaji, Two nights ago, something woke me up at about 2:15am. and I sat on the bed, closed my eyes & started chanting namasmaranam. Within a couple of mins. I had a vision in that I was standing in front of my house. It was pitch black everywhere & I saw a bright white light is coming out of my garage. Slowly, garage opened by itself and the bright light is spreading everywhere inside & outside as far as my eyes could see. Vision was there for a while and then vanished. What does this mean? What is the indication of this vision? Thanks in advance!  - Ap On 29 October 2009

It may mean nothing. But if the vision is repeated it may have to say something to you for your spiritual evolution.

Question 99. IS THERE A LIFE AFTER DEATH?RECENTLY I LOST MY BROTHER,WHO WAS CLOSEST TO MY HEART.HE WAS 34 ONLY.I STILL WANT TO HAVE HIM BACK...I KNOW IT IS NOT POSSIBLE.TELL ME HOW TO LIVE WITHOUT HIM?-HAVE CLOSE TO MY HEART ALWAYS.PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME TO FORGET HIM.  - An On 5 November 2009

Nothing, no one belongs to us. Everything, everyone is given to us for use. If we understand this, we shall not get attached to others and feel the pangs of pain when we are separated from them. You have had only one brother during this birth. But in endless adventure of existence, you may have had thousands and thousands of brothers. Where are they now? Reflect on this! Meditate on this!

Question 100. Dear Dadaji, To the question how many times should one forgive You say 7 times 7. This contradicts the teachings of Lord Krishan when he told Arjuna to fight against his own relatives.   - Y On 27 November 2009

I have never said that you should forgive seven times seven. All I did was to quote the words of Blessed Jesus, “Forgive seventy times seven”. In Arjuna’s case, he was advised by Sri Krishna not to have the spirit of vengeance against the Kauravas, even though they did not even once ask for forgiveness. Sri Krishna went so far as to go to the court of the Kauravas as a Shanti-doot (Messenger of Peace), but did not succeed in His mission. Sri Krishna tried his best to avoid the conflict and when he found that the Kauravas were determined not to listen to the voice of wisdom, but to continue to revel in the darkness of egoism, he permitted Arjuna and the Pandavas to fight for their rights. There is such a thing called Dharma-Yudha (War of Righteousness). Not to fight a Dharma-Yudha is to co-operate with dark forces of unrighteousness which, Sri Krishna thought, should not be permitted.
