Question 196. One question: who am i and how can i find it. Sir i have this question in my mind since my childhood. I want to know "me". Please help  - Rajesh D On 16 September 2011

The Answer to the question, “Who am I”, is within you. It will be revealed to you through daily practice of silence. In silence, you will keep on sinking deeper and deeper within yourself until one day you will get the desired answer. The question is “Koham”, “What am I”. The answer is “Soham” “Thou Art That”. You are not this– that you take yourself to be. You are not the body that you wear: you are not a creature of the earth, earthy. You are That. What that is will be revealed to you in hours of silence. Therefore let practice of silence be a “Must” – item of your daily programme.

Question 197. My son has fallen in love with a girl whose grand father has done some horrible things in his life. I feel the girl should not be the victim of what her grand father did, but should we be concerned about the genes in her family or the long term consequences of this decision where my grand children have to bear the implications of their great grand father? Please help. Thank you.  - Kiran Paul On 16 September 2011

All types of genes – good and bad – are present within us. Much depends on the environment in which we live and/or the training that we receive especially when we are young. If your children receive the right type of training, you have no cause to worry. History bears witness to the fact that crooks have been born to saintly souls and saints have been born to parents of questionable character.

Question 198. Om, I am a 42 years old lady who has been seeking a spiritual guru since long, but to no avail. I even took up reiki courses, but each time i feel some what blocked due to health fluctuations. How to get a guru who tunes to me? Thanks sir.  - Shivani Shah On 27 September 2011

The Guru meant for you will come and reveal himself to you at the right time. You have only to aspire and pray that you may be linked to a true Guru.

Question 199. Sir, Younger brother is a patient of schizophrenia started from November 2007. At that time he was a student of class nine. He always was in delusion of super natural powers. We showed him to two mental professors. He talks uses nasty words which are not expected from him.He does not take bath regularly. He is very sensitive of using others things.  - Shushma Singha On 17 September 2011

If you have a physical illness, you consult a doctor. Likewise, if a person is mentally ill, he should consult a psychiatrist.

Question 200. Dear Dadaji, I have been going through a lot of pressure in my life, even though I am capable of doing many things I am not able to. There is lot of pressure at my work place. Also what I am doing is out of choice. Don`t know what to do. Please suggest...  - Vinay Lohia On 13 November 2011

Wherever there is the feeling of "I", there is bound to be pressure. If you want your life to be free of pressure, you should move on the path of surrender. You should repeat the mantra: "Naaham! Naaham! Tuho! Tuho!" "Not I, but Thou!"

You are working only as an agent of God. He is the Master. Loss and profit are His. If you work in this spirit, you will find that you will be free from pressure.
