Question 206. Respected All knowing master, I seek your help in understanding how in my meaningless existence am i serving the creator . Everyone in this planet serve the creator , here i am struggling to find why i exist as i find myself being a malfunctioning robot remotely operated and not finding my creator after surrendering as taught in Bhagavad Gita. After seeing my struggle even with simple things , i congratulate and bow to all those who have become one with God. May your tribe increase , thinking of you is piece even if for a second thank you very much   - Mahesh Biyani On 1 December 2011

n the Gita, the Lord does not ask each one of us to do great things. He asks us to offer him simple things like patram, pushpam, phalam, toyam – a leaf, a flower, a fruit or a few drops of water. What is important is that whatever we offer or whatever we do, we do with love and devotion in the heart. The Lord wants our love, our devotion. You are blessed if you offer him little things or you do little deeds with love and devotion.

A mother's first duty is towards her child or children. And a true mother's job is a 24- hours duty. It was John Ruskin who said that when a child returns from its school, the mother should be at home to receive it. You know your circumstances better than I do and so can make your decision.

Question 208. Is initiation necessary in one`s life ? and do you initiate your sangat. Kindly advice  - Aarti Sk On 28 December 2011

Initiation is necessary for those who feel the need of initiation. True initiation is of the heart. Our hearts are cramped with unholy desires. Our hearts need to be cleansed. True initiation is that which cleanses the heart & turns its face to the Lord -- away from the world.

Question 209. I feel a strange pressure inside and sometimes confused infact manytimes. I wore navratna mala and Nili then I opened it. When I sit in a chair my toe automatically shakes. I am afraid. Please help ?  - Chandra Aikat On 2 January 2012

Navratna Mala may do good only upto a limit. The Holy Name of God will render to you limitless help. Therefore it is better to invoke the help of the Name Divine and not turn to other things. Keep on repeating the Gayatri Mantra or the mantra: Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya as often as you can -- and you will be richly blessed.

Question 210. Dear Sir, I am a vegetarian. I just wanted to check if humans should refrain from consuming milk as it causes a great deal of pain and suffering to animals? Atleast some of the videos and NGOs suggest that.  - Ankush Mittal On 30 January 2012

It is true that in these days of factory farming, cows who give us milk are put to a lot of suffering. That is the reason why I do not wish to take cow's milk. Whenever possible, I take soya milk. In ancient times, the cow was regarded as a member of the family and was given the love and respect which is due to a mother. Not so now.
