Question 1. My mother,71 years old has suffered from CVA post knee replacement surgery. CT FEATURES ARE SUGGESTIVE OF:PARIETOOCCIPITAL REGION AND IN LEFT BASAL GANGLIA REGION-MILD TO MODERATE GENERALIZED BRAIN AT  - Simran Shetty

As per the CT report...this is not a CVA as described, but a longstanding problem of atrophy due to increasing age/senility.Probably,CVA must have been a concomitant problem due to a dislodged clot because of lack of activity in the lowerlimbs especially.

The GI problem may be because of change in diet. Terminal illnesses are a way of dipensing one's karma and as a matter of fact everything is what we create either illness or wellness.

During an illness of this type and magnitude,energy healings are certainly beneficial for palliation and also cure in some cases.It can be sought after from distant healers.Providing good environs is certainly very much required not only for coping up but also a responsibility of those who were reared by them.Doing the best in the given situations is what one is expected to do.

Question 2. My mother is 57 years old. She has been a diabetic patient for the last 18 years. From january 2009, she started taking insulin due to high blood glucose. Recently she has been diagnosed with 'Diabeti  - Nasir Khan

Multiple Sclerosis,because of it's auto-immunity,increasingly stiffens the collagen tissue in the body including ligaments and tendons.First of all one is needed to understand the problem in it's entirety and accept it.Once this realisaton steps in, you will be certainly amazed to see that the stiffness is coming down,So accaeptance and letting go are the two lessons you need to learn and unless these not learnt,it will trouble you....and to teach the lessons, nature conspires to manifest in diverse forms of ailments, so that the people realise the truth triggered by suffering.

Depending upon the chronicity,these type of habits appear to be burdensome at the outset.Infact, you have to understand that the nature of problem is that thoughts turn into habits because of repetition.You can reverse it by applyin the same principle.That means you take decision of quitting this habit and start living without that by repeting the thought of something which makes you pleasant.This reprogramming after some time makes one be away from this scourge.To put as bottom line, instead of thinking of quitting,please think of some passion or a creative habit which after some time replaces this habitual patter, contemplate!!!

Question 5. What is the cause of frozen shoulder and how long does it take to return to normal? Apart from exercises are there any other treatments?  - Purobi Das

The frozen shoulder is seen basically in those people who lead sedentary lifestyles that too it is most commonly observed in diabetics.It is an end result in the capsule making the shoulder joint stiff and all the movements depending upon the degree and exact location in this capsule of connective tissue become painful.Normally pain killers and steroids are recommended apart from the physical exercices.The best treatment is ofcourse the exercises alternated by relaxation exercises as recommended by yoga.The duration of relief depends on chronicity and existence of diabetes...in the latter it takes more time.There are some connective tissue disorders wherein though rare, but worse.Complete examination by the orthopaedician is a must apart from counsel from a good yoga teacher
