Question 61. What is the best time to eat salad? Before meal, with a meal, or after a meal? If it is before/after meal, how much gap should be there ? By salad i mean raw uncooked vegetables like carrot, cucumber, radish, cabbage, tomato, green leaves etc. (no fruits).  - Vijay Anand On 3 August 2010

There is no perfect time so long as you don't mix it with fruits. Just chew it well & then you can eat it with your meal too. You should listen to your body for what it prefers. Best, however, is if you have the time to snack on a salad at a separate time. That way you get a healthy snack AND your cooked meal is kept simple. Also depends on your digestive ability which is why I recommend, listening to your body.

Question 62. I have tried Spirulina powder mixed with water. but it tastes really bad. this makes it difficult to consume it everyday. Is there any other way of consuming this.  - Deepika Rane On 22 July 2010

It tastes great in nimbu-pani, in juice, in milk-shake, in yogurt or simply mixed in honey as a medicine although it is not a medicine but a whole natural vegetarian food especially when had in organic powder form.

Question 63. Kindly let me know what brand of organic miso paste to buy for soups. Where can I purchase it from? I live in Andheri west - Mumbai. Also for how long should one consume miso paste to improve digestion? Regards & Thanks   - Deepika Rane On 21 July 2010

Miso is not a medicine. So one can actually have it all life long if one likes it. It used to be available at The Health Shop on Peddar Road which had a branch in Andheri but am unsure if that is so now. Nature's Basket has some ready to serve packets of it. Have not seen it anywhere else. Let me know if you find the bottled version.

The question seems to be incomplete. My basic food guideline will serve you well. I would need to see you & know much more to give you more detailed advise. There are so many forms of natural & spiritual healing today that it would be great if you discovered some of these for yourself. The only thing you need on your part to get better & cured is THE BELIEF IN THAT HEALING. I hope you will be guided to such a space.
