No, both are essential. However, do not overcook vegetables. Do not use aluminium vessels.

Question 22. Which fruits are best for summer. Mango is said to be causing a lot of heat. Can this be had? Should we combine milk with it?  - Akhil Kharbanda

Mango is ok with milk but best eaten by itself. Eat fruits that are seasonal. All kinds of melons are perfect for the summer as are mangoes. Mango causes heat only when combined with other foods.

Please follow my basic guideline. Be active, do yoga, avoid greasy foods & refined fast foods. Find something to do in life that you feel passionate about. Eat well (within the natural whole food range), do not starve. But do not make food the center of your life. Decide to do it & you will be able to. Such a change is not a diet for a few weeks but forever. its benefits are far beyond a trim tummy. You will also experience improved immunity, overall health & energy.

Need to know many things more about you before planning a program. Firstly, do not try to lose weight because you will always gain it back. When you lose something, subconsciously, your body will try to find it again. Secondly, please follow my basic guidelines on this page which are only foods to replace current base foods with. Not to give up anything. If any food you really like is a refined non-health-producing food, keep to a minimum. Find a passion in life, other than food. Be as active as possible. And you will be able to be slim & trim. Remember your bone structure dictates your size not the weighing scale. So long as you have the energy, have no health issues & feel fit, do not try to be a particular weight.

The basic guideline outlined on this page will help you to concentrate. Avoid white sugar which is the cause of this kind of restlessness. And remember all biscuits & junk foods contain sugar. Replace with jaggery. Eat whole fruits. Fill your diet with brown rice to see the difference in your health & in your life.
