Question 36. Because of my work schedules I tend to eat out a lot. Please suggest some healthy options, some general dos and donts. Thanks.  - Nm On 24 September 2009

Firstly look for restaurants that serve healthier options. Unfortunately in India eating salads out is not highly recommended. There are now a few that are getting conscious. Never eat too many varieties when eating out. Choose a main dish that does not have a refined food like white bread or white rice as a base (even simple soups are full of white flour). Do not eat fried foods. Choose sauteed or grilled food. Eating stir-fried vegetables is one of the healthiest options. However, eating out is rarely healthy because the refined base ingredients used like the salt sugar oil are all not healthy (read basic guideline). And usually the cheapest ingredients are used. It is best to find ways of being able to have home cooked meals (even a good whole grain sandwich is better than eating out) or start an organic restaurant !

Question 37. What is the natural way to controle or reduce Uric Acid in the body through natural food?  - Dhanbir Katoch On 17 February 2010

The best way to control uric acid is to consume more alkaline foods like ripe & fresh fruits and vegetables. Reduce meats, eggs, wheat, white rice, sugar and tea for sure if you want uric acid to reduce. Follow my basic guideline and do not let stress be the cause of raised uric acid levels.

Question 38. What is the vegetarian equivalent of 3ounces of chicken?   - Pamela Thomas On 17 February 2010

Firstly, please do not eat by weight of food but rather by your tastes, instinct & wholeness, organicness of the food. Nuts & seeds have much better cleaner protein than meats. A handful a day is enough. All food on earth has protein in different quantities. So we are getting protein all the time that we consume food.

Please follow my basic health guideline. This will help you get stronger and keep germs & virus at bay. Make activity and sunshine an integral part of your life. Also keep a positive view of life. And be very busy with what you enjoy. No bacteria can harm you if you do this.

Simplify your life. Simplify your meals. Follow my basic guideline. Eat fruit always by itself. Do not mix too many foods. You will find this really helps. Once you begin changes to a wholesome natural diet with activity and sunshine, you will find your body will not react to foods you find yourself allergic to. It is all about strengthening your immunity.
