Book Reviews - Life continues
by Shivi Verma
Had there been no death, there would have been no God. Despite all the advancements made by man materially or spiritually, death is something that continues to confound, awe and intimidate him. What happens when someone passes away? Is it the end of life? If not then where does the soul go? What kind of life does it live after it passes over? Does it live with God or is it consigned to hell or sent to heaven according to its good or bad karma? Several masters have unveiled the mystery of death and Sirshree continues the guru’s task of shedding light on this most mysterious of human phases. He says fear is the only thing that prevents humans from leading the divine life they are supposed to. And fear of death surpasses all fears. Sirshree says that unless one understands the ‘chemical composition of death, the fear of death shall prevent our growth’. The book gives a vivid stage-by-stage account of passing over of the soul, the concept of hell and heaven and dispels the notion of cruel punishment awaiting us in the lower worlds.
He speaks of frequencies and vibrations and the fact of like attracting like in the subtle world where everything is perfectly balanced and harmonised. He also explains the contradictory postulations of rebirths and only one birth in different faiths and gives a wholistic view of this concept.
