Collective Consciousness - Ready, Steady, Go
by Life Positive
One should be practical while making New Year resolutions. Once made, they should be single-mindedly kept with total discipline, complete focus and commitment. Resolutions get broken because they are generally made on the spur of the moment without thinking about the consequences. Intention makes all the difference. This is why without the right intentions all New Year resolutions fall by the wayside.
Dr Meenu Sodhi Sharma, Haridwar
A strong will power and determination are the secret to sticking to one’s New Year resolution. This is what I used to quit smoking in 2004.

My one-point advice is – be true to yourself and do what you want NOW. What is not possible now will not be possible later.
Pratik Agarwal, Mumbai
Don’t be too harsh on yourself because if you do you may abandon the whole thing. Work enthusiastically on your resolution and
the result will be there for you to see! Take it easy, be lenient with yourself. Enjoy what you do.

Start each day by noting down all the dos and don'ts. Start counting your blessings and get on the job. Before going to bed, tick
all that you have accomplished. Underline all unfinished work. Next morning, before starting the new day, transfer all the leftovers
to the next page before adding more assignments. Keep trying. Don’t get disheartened and leave it in the middle. Best of luck!

“Desire is the key to motivation, but it's determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal – a commitment to excellence – that will enable you to attain the success you seek." This quote by Mario Andretti defines, according to me, the secret of achieving your resolution.
Susan Varughese, Mumbai
