Inspirations - Changing Lives
by Life Positive
When you can create joy and hope for others out of the debris of your own dejection and defeat, you crest the zone of good and enter the zone of great.
When Bihar-based Anand Kumar, a brilliant mathematician, had to surrender his dream of going to Cambridge University because he could not afford the prize, he was shattered, but from the disappointment has arisen a wonderful project that is giving underprivileged children a chance to realise their dreams.
Kumar runs the Super 30 Ramanujam School of Mathematics, a free coaching institute for admission to the country’s most prestigious engineering institute, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). Amazingly enough, in the last three years, all 30 students have passed the IIT-JEE.

This heart-warming enterprise deserves our highest respect and honour. Thank goodness, Cambridge did not steal Anand Kumar away. Thanks to that, 30 Anand Kumars are spawning each year from Bihar. Who knows how they may change the future of this country, or perhaps even the world.
