According to research conducted by Ministry of Women and Child Development Department, Government of India in 2007, 66 per cent of children are physically abused, 53.22 per cent are sexually abused by a person known to them, and 50 per cent of children are emotionally abused.
In this context, the work of Love Humanity International (LHI), teaching Common Sense Parenting® (CSP) is of significance. Originally meant for the US market, CSP has been modified to the Indian culture and translated into Hindi by Shri Valji Bagda, Trustee and Managing Director of LHI.
The course materials were launched internationally in English and nationally in Hindi by Mrs. Rajashree Birla, Dr. Panna Choudhury, Shri D. R. Kaarthikeyan and other dignitaries from Teen Murthi House in New Delhi, recently.
The course teaches how to raise children in a loving, caring manner without using corporal punishment. Children’s problem behaviours decrease, positive behaviours increase and closer family relationships are built through this course.
