All of us on the planet aspire to a life in balance – to balance our outgo with our income,
our heads with our hearts, individual needs with societal needs. When this delicate balance is won, we hit the jackpot – happiness
The middle path: modus operandi
Accept people at face value: Do not assume and presume about the motives of people. Give them the benefit of doubt, believe the best of everybody.Do not have mindsets: They take away our freedom, make us rigid and superstitious. Be flexible in wants, likes and dislikes.
Do not be doubtful either: Doubts give rise to conflict. If we dither forever in taking decisions, we will always be at the crossroads of life. Believe in the self, in people, in a higher power.
Be simple: Avoid complexity in thought. In any situation, the simplest solution is the best – it will work nine times out of 10.
Do not react immediately to situations: Wait a minute before reacting to stimuli of sight and sound. Seeing and hearing is NOT believing, without the proper context. Filter every input with discrimination, before letting it sink in and affect the psyche. Assimilate useful information, reject the rest. This will help the mind remain garbage free.
