News - Art for New Agers
by Life Positive
Art for happiness, health and harmony Prateek Kanakia, a New Age entrepreneur, sells paintings which are not only tasteful, but also claim to bring in good luck and prosperity. Called Kalashaastra, it is an art form blending the tenets and rules of Vaastu with innovative painting techniques to create a line of customised paintings based on the client’s kundali.
Talking of the efficacy of the concept, Prateek says “It is not something fanciful or vague. Considerable study and research has gone into producing paintings which have the precise colour, design and inscription of specific mantras and yantras, to fit the client’s need.”
“We have 15 painters on our pay roll. For conceiving a baby we have a particular painting. For making money, there is another. And you need to be consulted by a vaastu expert as well as an astrologer before selecting the painting which will work best for you,” he adds.
“Since colours, crystals, precious stones and metals all influence a person’s horoscope, we create paintings that have coatings of gold and silver dust, fine granules of precious stones, and specific colours. The colours are mixed with coconut water instead of plain water for greater impact. We also give a scripture-based explanation of its working and influence to the buyer,” says Kaartik Menon, head of marketing.
Explains Hitesh Guruji, celebrity vaastu consultant and also the vaastu consultant of Kalashaastra.
“These paintings have a science behind them. Whatever you see gets into your mind and creates a memory for lifetimes to come. The colours and shapes used in the paintings are in tandem with the buyer’s brain frequency and shapes, and generate a positive frequency. When they see the painting again and again it stays as positive energy in their memory and stimulates those areas of the brain which are required to produce a certain result in life.”
Agrees Commodore Rajan Chopra, “I was going through a rough phase in life. I had to undergo a 12-hour surgery and was admitted in hospital for two months. On the advice of a friend I purchased a painting with gayatri mantra and mahamrityunjay mantra inscription from Kalashastra four months ago. I am pleased to say that my life has changed for the better after that. I feel calm and rested, and there is greater peace, harmony and bonhomie in my house.”
Art as an avenue for peace, love and harmony? Why not?
