News - India of my dreams

by Life Positive

India is home to a billion people. Our motherland has lovingly taken care of us and it is our duty to take care of her as well.

India was great in the past and had given birth to great saints, scholars, thinkers, artists and soldiers who are renowned worldwide for their deeds and ideas. I hope that the common person follows the path of these great people. However, there are many social evils in India. They have blocked the path to success and made her people suffer.

Among these evils are poverty, ignorance, disease, bribery, corruption, indiscipline and disunity. I have a dream, this dream is to free India from all these evils so that my motherland remains peaceful. John Lennon once said, “Imagine there’s no need to kill or die for, no religions, no possessions, no need for greed or hunger.”

If we imagine a world like that, we will be seeing heaven, and we’ll realise the beauty of the world we live in – the beauty, which we had forgotten because of our selfish motives. I wish that all people will realise this beauty and appreciate it, thereby making the world a better place to live in.

Of course, he said this for the whole world – I, on the other hand, am concentrating on India, my home, so that it becomes an example for the entire world. It is true that one person cannot solve all the big problems – say removing corruption from society or educating every child or fixing all broken roads, but one person can still do a lot of small things and if each one of us does these small things, the sum-total will be large.
