Founder, Sheetal Sanghvi He set out to explore the inner net as he was disillusioned with the world outside. In his search, he met many masters, guides, and friends, who inspired him to seek the answer to the one eternal question: "Who am I?" Realising that the answers he was seeking lie within, Sheetal decided to settle in his own space where he would invite people from various walks of life to come and share their ideas, thoughts, and stories, and in the process help enlighten others' lives. Urban Ashram was finally started on 13 May 2008. Within two months of its beginning, it became a favoured space for all lovers of meditation programmes, yoga therapies and for workshops that refresh your body, mind, and soul. The Ashram has various sections. The Soul Lounge conducts yoga, satsangs, meditation classes, book club meetings, and screens light-hearted inspirational movies. Karma Café believes in serving food to guests with complete attention and love. Frangipani Art Centre is a space that promotes art and urges people to share their creativity. It also conducts workshops to help individuals get in touch with their creativity. Lotus Crafts highlight a wide range of products like books, videos, candles, mats, cushions and music.Every month they hold a series of events, specially designed to inspire, rejuvenate and have fun. A certified yoga teacher's training course is scheduled to begin in October 2008.Visitors find that the place has positive energy, and beautiful vibrations, a place to rediscover their selves.
