Power without responsibility is destructive, but power with responsibility is the secret to greatness, says Sanjiv Ranjan
Exercise: Dissociating from blameNo matter what is happening around you, resist the temptation to blame. When you move into blaming a person, a situation, an organisation or an institution, you let go of your personal power to orchestrate change.
In general, the moment you catch yourself engaging in an inner dialogue, which makes someone else responsible for the way you are feeling, or the way things are – stop. Now write down the names of all those people whom you habitually blame.
In front of each name, write down –
I take responsibility for what is happening between us. I am willing to conquer the enemy within.
Now reflect and write -
What can I do to change this situation?
