Teaching Story - Adventure Playground
by Life Positive
Boards, spare tyres, telephone poles, and lots and lots of mud – is this a junkyard or war zone? Well, surprisingly enough, it is none of these. It is a playground – one with a difference.

Adventure-playground
Berkeley's Adventure Playground in the United States is based on a concept that grew in popularity after World War II. During the Nazi occupation of Denmark, the landscape architect C. Th. Sorensen created a new playground with whatever junk was available. It turned out, that is exactly what kids like. This idea that kids are more interested in playing with what they find lying around than with what we think they should be playing, is the idea behind this adventure park.
