Art Of LivingThe Dollar-a-Day program, which also includes the Care for Children program, is affiliated with the Art of Living Foundation, a nonprofit educational organization composed of North Americans who freely volunteer their time and service. Volunteers also administer the sister Institute in India.

LOVE MOVES THE WORLD
Care For Children is pleased to sponsor the Dollar-A-Day Program for children in the poorer regions surrounding Bangalore, India. For only a dollar a day, one can house, feed, clothe and provide education for a school-going child.

Founded in 1981 and accredited as a charitable nonprofit institution, Ved Vignan Mahavidyapeeth (Institute of Vedic Science) provides many essential educational and medical services. The only school of it's kind in the area, the Institute has grown to house and serve boys and girls from 22 surrounding villages. All services are administered at no charge to each child through funding from supporting individuals and groups.

LIFE-GIVING BASICS
Students from five to twenty years of age are provided with balanced meals, regular medical care, school supplies, and two sets of uniforms.

Since public schooling is not available in the village and tuition for distant private schools is too costly, the Institute offers the only opportunity these youngsters will have to acquire the education and skills they need to become self-sufficient adults.

Service is the flow of love from one human being to another. The desire to give and share is our basic nature. By lovingly contributing to the growth and well-being of another, we nurture our own fundamental goodness. Sincere giving—without expectation of return—breaks the boundaries of conditional love and expands the ability to love the whole world unconditionally.

Will you share a small portion of your own good fortune with a special child?
