NATUROPATHY

It is believed that nature heals all. Which is why, it often helps to go back to this womb of life and tap its elemental forces for healing. The best thing going for these therapies is the absence of side effects—perhaps the most important reason for their growing popularity in the modern world. Practitioners use anything from sunrays to water to heal your body and help you achieve a lifetime of health.

Aromatherapy
Among the many forms of alternative therapies, that are increasingly capturing popular imagination, is aromatherapy. This therapy, which uses the fragrance of natural products to cure various ailments, was known to ancient medical practitioners as well.

Bach Flower Therapy
Bach flower therapy uses essential oils extracted from various flowers to heal the subtlest of emotional and psychological states of being.

Colon Irrigation
Among the many forms of alternative therapies that are finding their way into the main stream, perhaps one of the most prominent is colema, or colon irrigation. This therapy washes away toxic waste encrusted in the large intestine that otherwise could lead to problems such as flatulence and irregular bowel movements. Or, in extreme cases, cancer of the colon.

Color Therapy
From time immemorial, colors have been credited with miraculous healing powers. Sages of ancient India discovered how the unique vibration of each color could help heal ailments, and this knowledge was later codified in the Atharva Veda, ancient Indian scripture, as Surya Kiran Chikitsa—healing with the sun's rays. In the Egypt of yore, temples had special healing rooms where the sun dispersed the seven colors of the rainbow. Today, this ancient healing technique is making a popular comeback under the quasi-scientific label of chromotherapy.

Gerson Therapy

Nature has unusual ways of healing, if only man would heed to her bounties. Gerson therapy believes that organically grown fruits, grains and vegetables can purge the body of harmful toxins and thus prevent various diseases.

Herbs
There are wondrous curatives within the plant kingdom whose potential for healing is being increasingly recognised.Herbs are widely being used in medicine as well as an indispensible ingredient in a range of delicacies.

Hydrotherapy
Water, the crucible of life, also has therapeutic qualities. Beginning with simply drinking the right quantity of water, to the use of water packs and baths—water therapy, or hydrotherapy, assumes many forms.

Naturopathy
This particular strand of alternative medicine is gaining popularity by the day. As a result, a number of naturopathic healers and centers have come up in recent times.
