Vedas

A strong historical treatise on religion, society and politics, the Vedas form the core of the Hindu culture. Almost 5000 years old, these Holy Scriptures are written in the form of hymns (in Sanskrit) with the prime purpose of disseminating sacred knowledge. The Vedas comprise four books: Rig Veda, Yajur Veda, Sama Veda and Atharva Veda with 108 parts (Upanishadis) in total. Sri Krishna in Srimad Bhagavad Gita gave fresh interpretation to the Vedic literature rooting out its obscurity and vagueness inherent in it.
