When we pursue happiness, it eludes you. However, when you recognise that happiness is the natural state of the soul, all you need is to eliminate all that comes between your happiness and you.
Inspired by Poojya Swamiji's spirit of service, what was started as a Charitable
Clinic for the residents of a neglected area in Bangalore, has now become a full-fledged
hospital with facilities for in-patients and outpatients. Several eminent consultants
and specialists regularly visit the hospital at fixed hours and render consultancy
services and treatment. Training of nurses is also managed by the hospital.
Old Age Homes
Realizing the importance of providing succors
to the aged, Swamiji has encouraged the organization of old-age homes at a few
centers in India. Rewa, Kanpur, Madras and Coimbatore have such homes for the
aged.
Tapovan Kuti
This is a spiritual retreat center
located at the foot of the Himalayas. This place is a hallowed spot, as Swami
Chinmayanandaji's Guru Sri Tapovan Maharaj lived here. It provides the environment
necessary for meditation and spiritual sadhana for seekers from all over the world.
The present Swami Incharge of the retreat is: Swami Dhyanananda
Located at the
foothills of the majestic Dhauladhar ranges of the Himalayas, the ashram is Swami
Chinmayanandas final resting place. It is also the location of the Sandeepany
vedanta course, camps, and the Chinmaya Rural Primary Health and Training Center,
under the Chinmaya Tapovan Trust.
Chinmaya Mission West’s spiritual
retreat at Krishnalaya is located 200 miles north of San Francisco and reflects
the serenity of the surrounding hills. Nestled in eight acres along the Eel River
in a redwood setting of Mendocino County, Krishnalaya is perfect for camps and
retreats. Summer and early fall are warm and sunny. One must be prepared for rain
in winter.
