Poetry and Fiction - Homeward bound
by Barbara Briggs
I behold
the silent petals
of a rose aflame
in the center of a whirling world.
I behold a sea of peace
in the middle of a desert;
a garden appears
and the quiet song of angels is heard
melting snow upon the topmost peaks
embracing the soul with the
fire of love
and in the distance
the golden bells resound
calling us back to you
O divine most loved
we are forever returning.
