In the time of Kaliyug, when the need of the hour is to spiritualise society, the role of the householder seeker is a crucial one. Juggling career, family, multiple relationships and traffic jams, the householder must bloom like the proverbial lotus in the muck of everyday life More>>

EFFULGENT IMAGE

By Bharati Ramachandran

Mute voices float unheard
Blurred visions swim unseen
A silent, subtle, sacred light
Awakens me within.

Strains of magic music echo
My soul leaps to dance
My being perceives a harmony
And clasps it in its arms.

All rays of light converge within
And split in myriad spectral glows
I reach toward each solitary spark
And waken, to know.

Chiming bells herald the dawn
In the clear waters, the swan
Beholds its perfect, effulgent form
And wonders at that image divine.

SALAMANDERS

By Anupama Bhattacharya

Unwinding the spool of the cosmic dream
Letting go, all at once
Floating. floating, in an ocean of fire
A joy is born.

Ethereal, ephemeral visions float past
Elusive, flittering, furtive;
From the abysmal chasms of the sleeping memory
A snake uncoils.

The ocean boils with the birth pangs of Time
Moments meet millennia,
In the blink of an eye an eon is past
Drawn, driven by a force unleashed.

Did a lotus unfold to reveal Brahma
Did Sheshnag unwind to create Vishnu
Did Shiva's tandava set to motion
The primal shape of life.

Perhaps the death spasms of timeless eternity
Were just a blur in the blue;
When vivid, vibrant, vivacious stars
Like million fireflies in the dark
Shot out of the sea of nothingness.

From formless void to a shaping universe
Burning. burning.
The salamanders now dance and play
In a celebration of life.

AMRITAM GAMAYA

By Ananda Jyothi

Don't die without telling us
Where you are going, Aneeka.

Blessings
From the light of eternal journey
From the starry travels of invisible worlds
Oh friend of my soul
Will you recognize me When I come?

Like a song silently hummed
Among the weeping willows;
Like a butterfly waking flowers from sleep
In the autumn wind;

Leaves fall without a whisper
Trees bared in penance
Let's throw off the robes of the present
And go to the stars
Love the sky Like you love the earth.

Of my flowers
Fragrance of blossoms bear witness
To my love and separation
Strum upon the strings of my soul-lute

I touch you
And touch God and all things
Has Isis really vanished
In the Egyptian sky?
