Vaastu Shastra - HEALING AND VAASTU CORRECTION WITH PYRAMIDS
by Pawan Sony
Vaastu Shastri. The label seems at odds with the Agra-based,
smooth talking suave Indian lawyer-turned-vaastu-expert
Kirti Betai who claims to have developed an entirely new system he
terms 'modern vaastu'.This system, as well as his complementary
system of system of cosmopathy,
is based on his study and experiments with pendulum dowsing, pyramid energy
and cosmic rays. Twelve years ago, Betai, suffering from debilitating
cervical spondilytis, shifted from Mumbai to Agra, in India, in search
of a quieter lifestyle.
Much of his time here was spent looking after the legal affairs of Radhasoami Satsang, a spiritual organization, of which he has long been a member. Seven years later, a chance reading of an article on how pyramids preserve dead cells was to change the course of his life.
He reminisces: "We've always been taught in school that it is the process of mummification which saves the dead body from decaying. This article really set me thinking." Coincidentally, around the same time, he met Minal Patel who introduced him to the techniques of vibronics and pendulum dowsing. Vibronics, a system of healing which uses two-dimensional geometrical patterns to turn negative energy fields into positive ones, was developed by Norma Harman in South Africa.
The treatment afforded Betai so much physical relief. He reasoned that "if two-dimensional patterns can help so much, three dimensional patterns should obviously help much more".
This prodded him to build and experiment with pyramids in his courtyard. It took 10 months of trial and error before his first reasonable success—a six feet canvas pyramid with an aluminum frame. The carpenter working inside the pyramid was the first beneficiary—he felt energetic even after working for eight hours.
Today you will find a pyramid in every corner of the Betai household. These, he says, are a surefire cure for every ill plaguing people and buildings. The healing power of his pyramids has worked its magic on Betai's cervical spondylitis and his wife's chronic asthma.
Betai's twin systems of modern vaastu and cosmopathy are based on the healing properties of cosmic rays. According to Betai, cosmic rays, which have a lifespan of a few millionth of a second, are high-speed, high-energy, subatomic particles, which are continuously showered upon earth. He hypothesizes that spontaneous healing can be induced in the aged and the ailing when they are within the ambit of the powerful field of cosmic energy generated by the geometric shape of the pyramid.
Body cells with unhealthy, weaker, or negative vibrations respond to the positive or healthy energy field generated by a pyramid instrument, and are induced to vibrate in a healthy, positive mode. When the negative cellular vibration is changed into positive vibration, healing takes place. "But," warns Betai, "it's not as if pyramids made anywhere will have healing properties. Those created in a negative field will suck energy instead of generating it." Betai's version of vaastu has nothing in common with the traditional vaastu shastra. Yet he insists on calling it modern vaastu for he believes that "both serve the same purpose".
The traditional system, he says bluntly, belongs to libraries. For starters it requires that the whole city be planned as per vaastu shastra. Further, the location of the main entrance of the building should be determined by the time and date of birth of the family. One should even know the history of the wood used in the house. Carrying out the dictates of traditional vaastu is neither economically feasible nor practical. And you certainly don't have the option of following vaastu selectively.
Betai's modern vaastu does not entail any change, demolition or shifting—the bugbears of traditional vaastu. Instead, geometric energy conditioners of different shapes, sizes and power are installed in the premises. These are pre-energized by the 9,000 pyramids at Betai's clinic-cum-home. These conditioners, which convert the negative energy of one's surroundings into a positive one, are user-friendly (simply keep them at an appropriate place), attractive and moderately priced.
Betai explains: "Starting at Rs 500, this is the cheapest vaastu ever!" But is it effective? Rakesh Kakkar, Indian pyramid expert and reiki healer, who held a joint workshop with Betai, says: "I don't subscribe to his theory of cosmic rays, but his system definitely works." There are others who swear by it. Take garment exporter Arun Mehra. With his business hitting a new low, he went to Betai armed with a map of his new factory in Gurgaon, India.
Betai's conclusion: "Extremely negative fields of energy in both the old and the new factory. Earlier the positive energy from the rented premises Mehra used to stay in countered the negative field of the factory. But now he has shifted to a new house which is also situated in a negative energy field." Mehra, wary of Betai's suggestion of vaastu-effected improvement recalls: "Land is so expensive these days. Had this man specified that I leave some space empty, I wouldn't have known what to do. "
Instead, a geometric energy conditioner in the premises did the trick. Five months later business perked up and Mehra finds he has "a much more positive attitude, and that is the best part". One of Betai's star patients is teenager Niharika Jain. Her childhood was shadowed with unsuccessful treatment for muscular dystrophy, which progressed from a tendency to stumble and fall to a devastating inability to move around on her own.
Niharika was even turned away from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India, with the diagnosis 'incurable'. A year and a half back when her father Dr K.K. Jain, reader in business management at St. John's College in Agra University, India, took her to meet Betai, she had to be carried in. Today, well on the road to recovery, Niharika, a 10th standard student in Agra's St Patrick's Junior College, moves about comfortably and shyly expresses her desire to help others in this form of healing.
An elderly Mrs Ram, arthritic and suffering from advanced osteoporosis which had resulted in stress fracture, was advised total knee replacement. Opting out of the risk of surgery, she now notes considerable improvement with Betai's treatment.
Betai, who claims to have healed a couple of AIDS patients, has clients consult him for diverse medical complaints in his clinic, the Daya Dhaar Self Care Center. He has recently opened another branch at Idgah in Agra, India, Betai finds pendulum dowsing an accurate tool for vaastu or healing purposes. The clockwise swing of his pendulum gives an affirmative answer to a question the anti-clockwise movement indicating a negative response.
He claims that information about everything is available in the form of vibrations in the cosmos. The accuracy of the information received through dowsing largely depends upon the correct use of the pendulum, the dowser's state of mind (an unbiased, centered state is essential) and clarity of purpose.
"Via the pendulum, I have access to infinite amount of information," says Betai, admitting its influence in his family's lifestyle and choices. The Betais, especially son Premal, even check the energy field of anything they eat or drink. "By God's grace, I used pendulum beautifully from the first day itself," says Premal.
I wonder if it doesn't affect his decision-making power. Would you bother to make a decision yourself, if you have the world's best decision maker to make it for you?
"Can't a tool this powerful be used for evil purposes, or psychic spying? I query.
Betai dismisses any such possibility. "The pendulum can only be used with good intentions," he asserts, "otherwise it won't give reliable results." Cosmopathy stresses the elimination of negative thoughts from the mind. Says Betai: "If in one year you think negatively for 10 minutes daily, the amount of bioenergy you dissipate is equal to the energy needed to run a car for 100 years.
Here is a Betai formula designed to keep you comfortable till you die: "Work to eliminate negative thoughts from your mind and fortify yourself daily with energy from the pyramids."
