EAST VS WEST

The people of the west looked down and said,
"What a pity,the east has not progressed!
Its people in ignorance are supressed
Their minds and brains have regressed.
All the wealth of education supreme
Lie strewn in our region that reigns like a king,
The expanse of the earth far and wide
With the gait of a monarch riding with pride.
In awe,to us they bow their heads
Seeking to better their lives in the west;
They do settle with hope to survive
In our land that to them provides
A home away from their families
Rich and abundant in luxuries."
But a man belonging to the eastern land,
Well read in scriptures had a plan;
He nodded his head in concern
For the people of the western world.
"Though you people learned to earn
A livelihood with discern,
You lack much in wisdom supreme
That abounds in our land unique.
Though we may not live like kings,
Its our intellect which brings
Prosperity to you for a living-
And our sweat unceasingly flows,
Enriching your coffers with more gold....
The strength of our bodies you do exploit
But the might of our minds you cannot destroy;
Though its for you that we toil
Our hearts and souls are for our soil.
The sun is WISDOM personified
That glows with radiance intensified-
And never forget that at our behest,
It rises in the east and sets in the west
