Acupressure massages using 3 different styles of Shiatsu and Meridian Stretch Techniques.

Training incorporates diagnostic tools used in Chinese Medicine, Meridian Therapy and pressure point techniques
Interactive Classroom environment

Shiatsu Practitioners & Therapists are trained to stimulate the Meridians and restore the flow of energy.
A regular shiatsu treatment is an important preventive health care measure and treats specific conditions.
Shiatsu is ideally performed on a futon on the floor, allowing the practitioner access from all sides of the body enabling them to apply pressure using body weight, as opposed to using just finger pressure, as may be done with other techniques.
The client is fully clothed, no massage oils are used.

Course Details

SHORT COURSES

Module 1 Upper Body Head, Neck & Shoulders

·         Short practical course – only 3 weeks
·         A great introduction to bodywork
·         Very effective in relieving pain and tension in the upper body
·         No set up costs – can be done anywhere

Module 1B Full body – Practical

·         Short practical course – 8 weeks
·         Practical hands-on dispersal and tonification methods
·         Meridian stretch techniques

Couch routine

·         Short practical course – 6 weeks
·         We adapt our floor routine to use on a massage table
·         Great for therapists who want to add / combine existing skills and incorporate Shiatsu into their routine
·         Shiatsu techniques and stretches

DIPLOMA COURSE

This course is made up of several Modules. You may complete the entire Diploma in a year (March – March) or do one Module at a time.

Duration of each Module is about 3 months

Module 2 Basic - Full Body Shiatsu

·         Practical hands-on dispersal and tonification methods
·         Meridian stretch techniques
·         Theory – introduction Chinese Medicine

Module 3 Intermediate - Meridian Therapy

· Pathology and functions of the 12 main Meridians

· Bodywork incorporating pressure points

· Breathing , Meditation & Visualization

Module 4 Advanced - Oriental Diagnosis and assessment

· Advanced bodywork

· Face, Tongue and Pulse diagnosis

· Abdominal Hara Massage technique

Module 5 Advanced - Extra – Ordinary Meridians

· Advanced body work, 5 element Nutrition, case studies

Module 5 is the last Module and 6 months are given at the end of this Module for the student to complete their 50 case studies before final Diploma as a Shiatsu Practitioner, is given.

Earn while you learn……………….students are able to practice as Therapists during their entire year of studying and therefore able to earn an income while learning.
