The Sufi's whirl of love Comments

Subject: TZ et all
Dear Komal ji, Thank you for your graciousness in accepting my remarks, harsh as they were.
But;
TZ hmmm.. well what can I say. Here is a person, who is afraid to even declare their own name while posting a rabid attack on my personal views!! Remember TZ ji, a life lived hiding in little dustbins called comfort zones...,a life lived with no conviction or courage, is not a life to be proud of. Those who hide and stab in the dark, are servants of the dark. ‘Aseer e Teergi‘ they have been called.

Of course you will call me a ‘fundamentalist‘ ! what else would I expect from misguided and rootless urbanites like you? Ironically, the Salafis, Deobandis and Wahabis on the other hand, would hang me as a blasphemer! So as usual we Sufis are caught between Deen and Duniya! Khalvat dar Anjuman is the answer perhaps! But enough about me. Why should I defend myself to a person who is not even in shariyat let alone tarikat... (forget marifat right komal ji?!)
TZ try and understand that in order to reject or accept a process you have to journey through it. These days most journeys are sadly made online! The journey I am talking about is not some internet-safari trip to ebay, it is a journey through the process of Tasawwuf. (The subject of komal‘s article) It is about experiencing Sufism through the prism of Islam. If that is a ‘proprietary stance‘ as you called it...well, then so be it damn it! Why should I be afraid to voice my opinion. You say I sound like a fundamentalist messaiah lol! what do you know about either? How is it that you could not cite a single fact or refer to a single piece of evidence to back up your conclusions about my views? Instead you harp about votive fountains! why? did you just have a break up with christianity? So what‘s next... Yoga ?!
What is it about my views that you find so offensive? That I openly declared my spiritual lineage and professional field? Why? are you out of work? Remember TZ those who hide their identities lose favour in the eyes of Allah.(not that you would care)
I think I can put down your venomous hatred of ‘what I stand for‘ (since you apparently don‘t stand for anything!) to-
a. A youthful vagrancy fueled by lots of rum and coke and an overdose of second hand 20th century european philosophy!
or-
b. that you are basically Ta‘assubi (biased) and intensely dislike any system that asks you to follow a certain belief pattern as a sign of your faith.

Whichever it is, I think you need to understand a few things: 1.that everyone is not like you. 2.The world is not a global village. and 3.we are not in some bloody anglo-saxon country!
If your beliefs TZ are temporal and malleable and change from day to day, so be it. Enjoy sitting on the fence and telling everybody you meet that ‘life is beautiful‘.
I come from a tradition, a faith and a training that IS my life (beautiful or ugly). Do not expect me to empathize with you or find fords to bridge across to your happy and ignorant little dustbin-utopia of borrowed knowledge and simulated experience! Remember. Secular means non-religious and not multi-religious. Find me a Sufi master who was not a hafiz of Quran e Pak, and I will find you a Hindu Brahman who does not believe in cow-worship!

My Khwaja Gharibnawaz lift the veil of stubborn ignorance and pre-judged notions from your eyes.
