| Subject: Does Chinmaya mission engage in charity? |
| I agree with the concept of the importance of spirituality in everyday living. However, I believe that spirituality without charity is of very little use. The Chinmaya mission runs several educational institutions which is only affordable to the middle and upper middle classes. I have not seen any activity by this mission involving free education for the very poor or free health care. So what is the use of vedantic thought when several people are starving or are sick? Therefore, I think that spirituality is a luxury for the middle class and above |
