| Anil - yes Chinmaya Mission does engage in charity work - they run rural upliftment programs such as Chinmaya Organisation for Rura Development (CORD) through which thousands are being helped (look it up). Also, CM has adopted over 50 villages to take care of the schooling, housing and medical needs of all the villagers. For emergencies such as the Tsunami, Chinmaya Mission spent millions of dollars in funding medical and social programs for the affected.
