| Lovely article on the grace of appreciation.... Wud like to quote few lines from this article for my own teenage daughter, an extremely happy go lucky and confident kid and a budding poet in the making, who is in a precarious predicament of having to bear the brunt of a sarcastic and critical English teacher second year in a row, who seems to operate with a lot of clout and without any idea of what encouragement means to a student. I am a dance movement facilitator who also believes that learning enhances by correction but appreciation and encouragement does so much more!|
Though I too pen my thoughts on a life of positivity related to dancing I actually found just what I needed to convey to her in your article succinctly.
Being an understated person too and having been a understanding witness to my child’s tears on a number of occasions all of last year, hoping things will sort out by itself and sharing with my child the attitude of tolerance and letting go … but now I would like to take up this issue in a gentle manner by sending her a piece of my thoughts on the value of appreciation, and so intending that she mends her ways ….:)
