| My comments on this topic would primarily focus on the intent of the editor. Writer may have her own views and flights of imagination or even WICCA may have its brilliant theosophical trails, but it certainly astonished me that ‘LIFE POSITIVE’ – a name that suggests – has these types of stories to publish! Net is now the most powerful medium of communication. If you propagate and glorify witch-craft and validate superstitions, to me, value of your name has gone to winds. What then as to be said as ‘negative’? By chance, I am a writer and also an editor of a reputed daily. My personal belief on witch, ghost and curious superstitions notwithstanding, I suggest an ominous mistake of the story writer, because I am a resident of Puri and the place – she mentions about by citing another holy name – is in my immediate neighbourhood. By citing vague, useless and imaginary examples the writer may have satisfied herself about her flowery thoughts. She might have visited the city on package-tour, how can she authenticate something worthless, which is not even a local rumour? But your publication has its bad impacts. Print media takes this story. There may be some designs to propagate against Puri in a feeble effort to name it as ghost-city, but dear sir, the place is famous for Lord Jagannath. Ghost may touch Puri only after the end of world. Thank you. |
