Ambulance service to all
Some notice issues and do something about it. An ambulance service is welcome to all, especially in bustling cities like Mumbai.
Giving a a heartfelt tribute to the unwavering commitment and collective efforts of the Rotary Club of Bombay Bayview, Ms Rajni Barasia, President of the club, launched an ambulance service. on 23rd Charter Day.
She states, “for over two decades, our club has stood strong in its mission to serve humanity with integrity and empathy. This year, under the dynamic leadership of President Rajni Barasia supported by a dedicated team and our ever-generous donors, we have been able to carry out several impactful and meaningful projects across diverse avenues of Rotary in the different parts of India.
Each project is a testament to the values we hold close—dignity, inclusion, and sustainable change. From health and education to women empowerment and rural upliftment, we have strived to touch lives in ways that truly matter.
A special highlight of this year’s Charter Day celebration was the launch of a deeply significant initiative: the donation of a 20 seater ambulance to Mahan Trust an NGO for the under strata communities in the heart of rural India—Melghat near Amravati - on the border of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. This initiative not only addresses a critical gap in healthcare access but also symbolizes hope and timely intervention for countless families in need.
This achievement is more than a milestone—it’s a promise. A promise that our journey of service will continue to evolve, deepen, and reach even the most remote corners where help is needed.
Here’s to 23 years of impactful service—and to many more years of making a difference, together.
Special mention to Dr Ashish Satav & his wife Dr Kavita Satav who are doing selfless service and remarkable work in this adivasi area since 1997.
So far, it has treated more than 1,50,000 people and saved the lives of more than 3,500 seriously ill patients.
We hope to see most such initiatives in the future.
