With its all-inclusive stance life positive brings together a world divided by communal passions and religious bigotry, says the life positive president

Material wealth and comforts are on the increase. But material and physical comforts alone do not bring about peace, justice, harmony or joy. This can come only through self-transformation of every individual, who is the fundamental unit of humanity. Only by being a better individual can one create a better family, society, nation and the world. The Vedic sages had stated thousands of years ago:

“The truth is one; the wise call it by many names.” This dictum is being violated more and more with religious bigotry and communalism. On the other end of the spectrum, the term secularism is being abused to promote irreligiousness resulting in loss of values.

The basis of all religions, shorn of perverse practices and divisive policies, is true spirituality. Spirituality, after all, is not just about rituals and visits to places of worship, but about character building, imparting of values and responsibility; and caring and sharing.

To fulfill the crying need and call of the time, a magazine was found necessary. Life Positive has fulfilled this vacuum. Through its all-inclusive stance, Life Positive promotes the best practices of all faiths, leading to more understanding and respect, not just tolerance, of other faiths.

Serving humanity

Keeping a magazine based on such a concept going for 15 years is no mean achievement. Life Positive has managed to render this unique service to individuals and through them to humanity as a whole.

The magazine’s holistic vision has been able to bring about harmony, joy and peace to a large number of loyal readers. Even the founder of Art of Living, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, has acknowledged it to be “the best holistic magazine” in India.

On the 15th anniversary of Life Positive, I congratulate the founder, Shri Aditya Ahluwalia, the Editor- in-Chief Ms Suma Varughese and the band of dedicated staff, loyal readers and patrons of Life Positive for keeping the magazine going despite all odds and also for taking up the challenging task of bringing out Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions of this unique holistic magazine.
