Combining tradition and learniing
Lezim, the traditional folk dance of Maharashtra, holds a rich historical significance. Once used as a form of military training during the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj era, it has evolved into a vibrant art form that symbolizes energy and unity. Showcasing Maharashtra’s cultural heritage, Lezim continues to captivate audiences with its rhythmic movements and colourful presentation.
The kids of Sona Sarovar Trust dazzled the audience with a dynamic Lezim performance on January 26 2025, Republic Day, at Garden Number 2, Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri West, Mumbai.
The performance beautifully brought the community together in a spirited celebration of India’s cultural diversity. Sona Sarovar Trust is deeply committed to the holistic development of underprivileged children. The trust conducts numerous activities, including academic coaching, education, nutritious food programs, healthcare initiatives, sports, yoga, English classes, computer training, extracurricular activities, and theatre workshops. These initiatives aim to empower the children and allow them to explore their full potential.
