Praniic energy- Fourth Dimension of our Being
Every human being is supposed to have soul, mind and body. Connection of Mind and Body is well established. Medical science has shown how our mind and thoughts affect our body.
How ever there is one important entity between mind and body. It is pran - pranic energy. Our various organs are working day and night. Consider working of our heart and lungs. They work non stop for the whole life. So also organs like kidney, liver etc. All these need energy to function. This is provided by pran shakti-- pranic energy. Our seven chakras are energy centers. From these centers, pranic energy is supplied to different organs through very fine nerves.
We get this energy from several sources. Most important is from the air we breath. We get oxygen and also pranic energy. We also get it from food and sun light .This energy is stored in our seven chakras.
If for some reason, supply of this energy is reduced to a particular organ, it malfunctions and will be deceased.
When a person has strong negative thoughts of anger, revenge hate fear etc. these create blockages in the free flow of energy to some organs. We know cases of somebody getting heart attack after hearing about heavy loss, loss of close relative etc. This is because of lack of proper supply of pranic energy to heart. Some times it affects brain and one gets attack of paralysis. This is because the heavy negative emotion block the path of pranic energy.
To cure some deceases, Reiki, pranic healing, acupressure, acupuncture are found to be helpful. These healing methods send pranic energy to deceased parts.
It may be noted that even after clinical death of a person his organs retain pranic energy for some time. Hence when an organ has to be removed for transplanting
in another body, it has to be done in certain time, say one hour. Hence after trans plant the organ starts functioning normally
How can we increase pranic energy ? It is through practice of Pranayam .Apart from getting more oxygen and other benefits, it helps us to draw pranic energy.
Various yogasanas, bandh, mudras help to distribute pranic energy to different parts.
Our mind and pran are very closely related. An agitated mind causes blockage in free flow of pranic energy. Calm and quiet mind ensures flow of pranic energy.
Meditation helps a lot in calming mind. Regular practice of japa, chanting of religious texts,and prayers are also very helpful.
Another important point is our attitude towards life. Many things do not get things as we wish. Things , events go against us. We need to accept all these as part of life and do not complain, grudge.
Lastly we should forgive and forget all past things.
These will help us to calm our mind and ensure proper supply of pranic energy to entire body. We can live happy and healthy life.
