Become the Master Tuner of your life
I am sure, all of us will agree that we can do with more of good luck, success and abundance in every area of our life, isn’t it?
We wish, rather need, all the good fortune we can get!
If I was to to tell you and reveal an effective ancient technique with which you could STEP UP your success and luck quotient, just by rearranging and modifying the décor of your living space, would you believe me?
You may doubt it because it sounds too simple to be true. But that's exactly the essence of Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese philosophy of living in harmony with your surrounding environment.
"Our home is a metaphor for our life—and using Feng Shui can help transform the conscious and unconscious mind," explains Laura Cerrano, an expert at Feng Shui Manhattan. The result? A harmonious abode that can be felt on all levels: mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical.
Pronounced "fung shway," Feng Shui literally means the flow of "wind and water."
Feng Shui stems from the Taoist belief in chi, or the life force that inhabits everything.
Its roots are 5,000 years old. Feng Shui seeks to promote prosperity, good health, and general well being by examining how energy, Chi, pronounced "chee," flows through a particular living space like a house, room, office, building or garden.
Knowing that Feng Shui has been around since the ninth century BC, and is still popular today, having spread throughout China and even to Western cultures, means that it has had historical impact.
The practice was banned as a superstition after China's Communists took power in 1949, but it has since seen a revival.
In todays Hong Kong, highly paid, influential Feng Shui masters are routinely called in by the renowned, inspirational architects before any state –of- the- art building is planned.
What is Feng Shui?
The Feng Shui Society says the Feng Shui definition is “ the art and science of designing harmonious environments based on the profound Chinese understanding of how people are connected to and affected by their close surroundings.”
In simple terms, it is a powerful tool that enables us to ‘tune’ our life through balancing the flow of energy and adjusting our environment, which influences 1/3rd of our life force at any given moment of time.
As per many spiritual masters, every life has three main drivers. 1/3rd is our Destiny or past Karma with which we are born, other 1/3rd is Human luck or efforts, decisions and choices we make in the present and the last 1/3rd is described as Earth Luck or how conducive and supportive is our environment. It is this Earth luck which we can control to a maximum and utilize it to give that extra push.
What are the benefits of Feng Shui?
Application of Feng Shui helps in promoting full harmony in all living spaces and among people, bringing complete peace and relaxation, attracting excellent health and extraordinary luck.
Some of the other important benefits of Feng Shui are health-related. According to Forbes, the main benefit of Feng Shui is stress reduction, which creates:
- Blood sugar balance
- Stronger immune system
- Lower depression
- A reduction in anxiety
How can Feng Shui be applied to your everyday life?
In order to harness all the good energy your home and office has to offer, follow the basic principles of Feng Shui. Doing so, you will notice, has created a lasting feeling of calm for yourself and everyone within your surroundings. That is the reason why people have turned to Feng Shui for centuries as a manual for designing and decorating their living spaces.
The basic principles break down into two important components:
The most important principle is the Five Elements Theory. The elements of Fire, Earth, Wood, Water, and Metal should be represented in a correct fashion throughout the space. If the elements are not placed in the correct directions or locations and in inadequate proportions, they will be out of balance and can prove to be detrimental.
The second essential component is the correct reading of the Bagua- here the representation of the elements is just as crucial as where they are placed. A Bagua is a map which a Feng Shui consultant uses as a guide to chart out the energy or Chi of a space.
The purpose is to promote the proper flow and balancing of Chi — or energy — through our environment, optimize the spatial arrangements to be better aligned with nature and its five elements to boost energy, foster happiness and even enhance our luck.
At the most fundamental level of life, there is no separation between ourselves and the environment. As per the scriptures, people can create physical environment which reflects their inner reality and desired outcomes. Even the Indian science of Vaastu Shastra concedes with this philosophy. It states that we can bring forth our best innate human potential by transforming the experience of our environment into a sacred, calm, peaceful space.
Like the other successful and fortunate people, become aware, maximise the energy and balance the 5 elements in every area of your life- wealth & prosperity, fame &reputation, love &relationships, health & stability, creativity & children, wisdom & spirituality, career & life path, helpful people & travel, family & ancestors.
Make way and see yourself harness all the good energy in your home, work space and surroundings. Almost magically liberating yourself, you will notice peace, relaxation, calm, good health and luck be self evident in your life.
