Sri Ram, a low key mystic from Hyderabad and spiritual teacher to thousands, lauds the role of Life Positive in enabling readers to transcend their limitation, and inhabit the mansions of the spirit. As told to Suma Varughese Today, thanks to magazines like yours and TV channels, people have a greater chance to be spiritual. This kind of exposure to spirituality was never there in the past.

However, I do feel that magazines like yours are very rare. There are many spiritual magazines coming out from various ashrams and spiritual organisations such as Mountain Path from the Ramana ashram, but your magazine is universal. It broadcasts wisdom from all traditions and sources. My association with Life Positive goes back many years ago, when Parveen Chopra was the editor of the magazine. I came across it and bought a copy. The very first copy itself attracted me. Later, we were in Delhi to release a book I wrote, Viveka Sravanti (Stream of Discrimination). The book was handed over to the then President of India, Shri Shankardayal Sharma. Professor Sivaramkrishna who had also written two books about me –Face of Eternity and Gospel of Love -was also there. At that time, someone from Life Positive came for the book launch and interviewed Professor Sivaramkrishna and me. There was even a small write-up on it in the magazine. Since then, I have been familiar with the magazine and have been reading it. Life Positive carries articles on and for the body, the heart and the head. All three are required by life. Health is the most important need of the body. Without it, happiness is hard to attain. Each issue also always carries something to make you think, and something to make you feel. The magazine is worth reading. Everyone should spend two or three days a month reading it. The inspiration they derive from it will enable them to pass the rest of the month easily. I feel fortunate to be able to read this magazine. Depending on the psychological maturity of the reader, Life Positive can have a transformational impact. What I particularly like is its rational, scientific approach. My spirituality has its roots in science. Anything in the world can be explained rationally. The power that has made the body, the definition of God, whether God loves you, all these can be explained rationally. Blind belief or bhakti, has to go hand in hand with jnana. Life Positive is a beautiful blend of bhakti and jnana. It brings about the harmony of all religions and sees all of life through the framework of spirituality. I remember that in the issue that carried your interview with me, there was a beautiful article on Nikola Tesla, which looks at his scientific genius from the spiritual lens. Life Positive is doing wonderful work. I would call it psychological slum clearing. All of us are psychologically living in slums, thinking poorly of ourselves, and operating under many limitations. Life Positive is helping readers to clear these slums of the mind, and inhabit the mansions of the spirit. It is true that the distribution of the magazine could improve, but that is not for you to be concerned about. If you have a genuine, burning desire to serve your reader, blessings will come to you naturally. Once you feel psychologically worthy enough, blessings will come. Once the flower overflows with nectar, it only has to expand and the bees will come. Your reader bees will come. You don’t have to struggle for it.

The quality of the readers is what counts. And Life Positive will always attract psychologically mature readers. May God bless Life Positive. May Life Positive spread its net far and wide and gather a rich harvest of spiritual fish, not to eat them, but to release them from their wells into the ocean of their true Selves.
