DISCIPLINE

Days for  the Divine

Guided by her mentor Megha  Bajaj, Meghana Acharya sends  positive vibes into the Universe  to ensure the well-being and  success of others

Thursdays and Sundays are my sacred  days. Somehow, life chooses to pour  itself into me on these days. Good news  knocks on the door, wisdom drops by, miracles  roll in, ideas float around, and I’m a little less  animalistic. I open my arms wide for something  exceptional to happen. By the end of the day, I  do find a miracle tucked in somewhere.

Over the years, my mind has been trained to  power up my Thursdays. During my college  days in Belgaum, it was a mandatory, religious  visit to Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir. Shirdi Baba  was the faith of many and mine too. On moving  to Bengaluru, changing two buses and an auto  to get to Vivek Nagar’s church was unmissable,  come what may. Even on days it seemed  impossible, somehow, I would make it and wink  at Infant Jesus. Lighting candles and gazing  at the baby filled me with immense love for  Jesus and everyone around me. I didn’t know  a thing about quietening the mind and stilling  the body; all I knew was to pray selfishly or  selflessly for my family, friends and humanity  in general. This was in 1999. Naively, I believed  all my prayers were answered because I went to  the temple and church without fail.

Meeting Mahatria

Years later, from 2013 onwards, life also turned  Sunday into my holy day. It brought Mahatria,  my guru, and me together to experience  infinipaths, a satsang held by him, Sunday after  Sunday, for the last twenty-nine years. The more  I tuned into the path, the more I experienced  Sai, Jesus, Allah, and Ram, not only in the  prayer halls but also in the chambers of my  heart and that of others. I learnt the power of

non-doing. I understood that, in prayer, we  communicate with God; in meditation, we are  in communion with God.

While other days are equally significant, the  mind is deeply attached to Thursdays and  Sundays as God days, which translates into  transformative days. The animal in me turns a  little more human. The more human I become,  the more I wish to blossom into the Divine.

On the quest to make it truly count, Thursdays  also connect me with my mentor and friend,  Megha Bajaj, a national bestseller author and  film scriptwriter. She regularly writes for Life  Positive, and I am certain she has brought tears  of joy to you. Through a Zoom call, her words  and silence teleport to me. Sometimes, I catch  the essence of a realisation or learning from her  instantly and implement it. Some of her daily  practices have become mine. Not everything  comes easily to me, as consistency is key. I do  it for a few days and give it up or get bored. If  excellence or continued success is the goal, it  has to be backed by consistent striving. That’s  what my mentor aces in, and I wish to make it  my power too.

What she shared with me on March 28, 2024,  was deep, and I put it into practice without a  blink.

Every night, Megha prays for a handful of  people dear to her. She visualises what they  seek and invokes the Universe to grant it to them. After she shared it with me, I pulled out  a notebook and wrote down eleven messages.

Praying for others

I also used to pray and wish well for others,  but on random days like their birthdays or the  days that I read or hear something pleasant  or unpleasant related to their lives. Rhonda  Byrne’s Magic, when practised for twenty days,  had initiated me into focussed prayers for others  on certain days. I also did guided processes by  Mahatria and Six Phase meditation by Vishen  Lakhiani frequently to pass my energy and love  to others.

However, after hearing Megha, I chose to put  the prayers on paper for 111 days. Writing  helps me to focus better and channel my energy  intensely.

joy in their hands as I write about them. A kid  has topped her class and is looking for a job.  I just have to hear her scream on receiving an  offer letter from the organisation she deserves  to get into. University calls are awaited by  some. Watching them dance on freshers’ day is  the least I can dream for them. A family is in a  dilemma about their move to the UK. Likewise,  I know the dreams and anxieties of friends and  families. I know what humanity in general  needs, and I can fill the cosmos with loving  vibes.

I thought I should write a short, affirmative  prayer for each one to have clarity on their  desires to come to pass and for patience to hold  on to faith until it manifests. I tried, and it took  only a few minutes to pen it. Additionally, it felt

Meghana’s prayer diary amazingly good. 48 LifePositive | SEPTEMBER 2024

I chose to do it for 111 days to own the practice  by deepening it each day. A year ago, I opted  to celebrate one person a day. The roaring  success story of one, and the sheer perseverance  of another. The joyful heartset of a lover or the  happy expressions of a creative soul were noted  and cherished for over three months.

The expansion of consciousness

As the days passed, the jubilation got bigger,  and my head reeled and seeped in the goodness  I inherited from them. Likewise, I choose to  send my love and energy to at least eleven or  more a day, and as I watch their dreams come  true, I know my heart will swell in celebration.  After all, we are always the biggest beneficiary  of anything sweet that goes out from us.

Thursdays and Sundays were the days I  communicated with my Source. Now, in  communion, I know my prayers for you and  everyone will surely betide. If not answered  sooner or later, I will have the maturity to  understand that a better plan was chosen for you  and me—the one that our limited intelligence  could never draw up.

A small drop becomes the ocean. Like Megha, I  also believe that every thought and vibration we  release for others will help them craft the life

Increase the ambit of your prayers to include everyone you know

they deserve. Together, we can build a desirable  future for others.

One session with Megha guided me to dream  for others and myself. Through the practice of  solemn unison with my Divine Source, I will  contribute to making life beautiful for many.  Dear LP readers, I will hold you in my prayers  and wish you well in your endeavours.

Meghana Acharya, a homemaker from Northampton, UK, is a seeker  and writer. She thoroughly enjoys supporting her son’s journey as a  budding magician.
