Edit Speak Prolong your youth and beauty
August 2015
Dear Reader,
We live in paradigm shifting times. Almost everything we took for the truth is being stood on its head as we shift slowly from a materialistic understanding of life to a spiritual one. Our perspective on growing older too is shifting. Is it mandatory that we have to lose our beauty, grow wrinkled and grey, or fall ill? Or is there a way to retain our radiance and youthful appearance, no matter how old we are?
Why not? We all know that there is a huge diversity in the rate at which people grow old. I have seen sprightly 90-year-olds, and decrepit 60-year-olds. If we eat right, exercise right, sleep right, work right, think right and live right, we are surely going to look young, feel young and, in fact, be young for much longer than we might otherwise have been.
A movement into holistic thinking and practices is our best friend in this enterprise. Not only do practices like yoga, meditation, and holistic therapies help us bring health and a youthful glow to our bodies, but by connecting us with our Higher Self, they infuse our lives with meaning and purpose, help us to cultivate happy and nurturing relationships and to find peace. All of this, in turn, help us retain our youth.
Read our cover story which throws more light on the tantalising possibility of staying young and beautiful.
For the city of Kolkata the month ends on a high note; the Life Positive Expo comes to town on the 29th and 30th of this month. I cordially invite all our readers, and wellwishers to join us at this great festival of the body, mind and spirit. Avail of the range of superb workshops, exhibition, discourse and cultural splendour we have lined for you.
Enjoy the issue; have a blessed month.
