Health for all Indo-Vietnam Event
By Jamuna Rangachari
When one hears of an Indo-Vietnam event, it is usually to do with a product, travel, manufacturing or just political leaders visiting each other. This event, however, revolved around awards to holistic health propagators and innovators and was held at Le Meridien, New Delhi.
Dr. Biswajeet Roy Choudhary, the convenor, said that the mission of this endeavor was to have a life without medicine, where every individual would be a doctor to others.
“The day every child knows how amazing a creation the human body is, and how to take proper care of it, we would have done justice to the next generation,” he said before inviting the awardees to speak on holistic health.
The awardees ranged from role models and survivors, meditation and mind control experts and many more. There were Dr. Partap Chauhan from Jiva Ayurveda, Ketan Shah, the acupressure expert, Bimol Rakshit, a pioneer of the Silva method in India, Dr. R K Tuli, a holistic healer, and many others.
Each awardee inspired everyone with their wonderful stories and the path they had taken.
Mansukhbhai Prajapati from Gujarat spoke about his eco-friendly refrigerator that needed no electricity. “This is not just environment-friendly but also good for one’s health,” he said, amid applause. What makes him truly remarkable is the fact that he began as a humble potter wanting to make life easier for the poor. He has now been recognized by the entire nation and even other nations.
Ramneek Wig talked about how he had been told he would die after cancer kept visiting him in spite of regular treatment. He overcame this by switching to a plant-based diet and regular pranayama. His cancer went into remission. Having made it his mission to share this wisdom with everyone, he said, “I can attribute 70 percent of my recovery to pranayama and 30 percent to proper food.”
Mr. Bhola Singh, chief guest and Member of Parliament, swore that he would do his best to promote this endeavor as both the nations had a lot of traditional wisdom to exchange and promote.
The Vietnamese delegation, comprising Dr Giang Phung Tuan, renowned doctor and co-author of Borderless Doctor, Mr Le Doan Hop, former minister of Information and communication of Vietnam and chairman of Vietnam records identification Board, Mr Le-Tran Troung An, founder chairman of Vietnam Book of Records, Mrs Nguyen Hong Anh – Executive Editor of Vietnam Book of Records and Mr Nguyen QuangTrung – traditional Vietnamese doctor and translator, were very impressed by the range of delegates. The event culminated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding with everyone to continue sharing information which would aid the entire world in becoming healthy in all respects.
