On strengthening country's national consciousness by a Humanist by Choice
The highly polarised times amply gives us the signal that the most important part to be addressed is trust deficit among various communities and not fiscal deficit. Trust deficit fostered by successive generations of politicians have come to forefront by radical events in current scenario. Anyhow, if not now, it would have eaten the complete fabric of our notions of freedom and nationality in near future which are embedded so deeply in our country's collective conscious. We need a collective catharsis as a nation as feelings have started dictating our thoughts and consequent actions rather than reasoning. As a part of country's collective conscious, we need to understand that right also means correct and exact and so need to ask for our rights in correct and exact manner by not disturbing the very fabric of country conscious and thus NGOs should reveal funding details, which is being used for neo - colonialism creating alternate divisions in the country consciousness and we as part of the nation should stop supporting ideological support or creating a soft corner for terrorists. We have grudges, OK, we can talk it out rather than using pro-partition and pro - separation plank for appeasement. Also, and most importantly govt. should not act out of retribution but distribution of what is guaranteed in constitution without being prejudiced towards it's voter base. we are one as a nation but have alternate religious narratives, which have both cemented nationalism and fostered the national divide. I propose the following points to heal country's collective conscious and counter extreme alternate narratives of religious identities within. We need a collective catharsis as a nation. What if there is a serial about Eklavya and his accomplishments, his devotion to Guru and Gods . What if we promote scientifically proven methods of religion such as Yoga, whose effects the whole world is going gaga about and at the same time decoding the tenants of Sufism for the common Man and the promoting the songs in a big way. What about promoting the idea of a GOD as intelligence vibrating and pervading in all consciousness. Hope you will give suggestions that shall help. We need contributions from everyone!!!
