Release your inner hero

Release your inner hero

September 2015

By Suma Varughese

Dear Reader,

There is a hero in each of us, and the circumstances of our lives are uniquely calibrated to bring that out. The challenges given to us, the people who come into our lives, our strengths and weaknesses, are all meant to ignite this inner hero and bring him out of hiding.

However, all too often, we fail to flush out our hero. Circumstances tower above us, appearing daunting and terrifying. This is why it is important to stay inspired and motivated to the possibility of triumphing in life by reading about the life and times of people who did manage to get in touch with their hero. Our cover story profiles four such bravehearts, each of who were given grave challenges to overcome and who did it impeccably.

Birthdays are special for each of us because these are days we feel a special ownership over. Moreover, it is the one day everyone around us makes us feel special. But could there be more to it than just that? We explore the possibility that birthdays also signify quantum spiritual growth.

Since the Indian philosophy is to see the Divine in every atom of creation, India is filled with sacred spots, mountains, rivers and groves. People are drawn to these high energy spots where the Divine seems particularly accessible. Our article explores the phenomenon of power spots and how they happen.

On September 26th and 27th, we will be in Coimbatore for the first ever Life Positive Expo in the South. The South is particularly receptive to spirituality, and some of our most ardent readers hail from that zone. I cordially invite you to join us at the Expo and experience its sublime space. I would be delighted to meet you there.
