 Say Bye to Body Aches

Abhay Kumar Shah shows us how our fingers can bring relief to our body, which is subject  to aches and pains

W e have all experienced something as

common as body aches at some time  in our life. They are a symptom of  various illnesses or conditions, and thus the

reasons for their occurrence are varied. Here, we will focus on some of the conditions  which are known to be the most common  causes of body pain and also see how Mudra  Therapy can help remove (not kill) the pain.  Some of the common ailments which cause  body pain are stress, dehydration, insomnia,  flu, and anaemia.

In cases where we cannot diagnose the particular  reason for body ache, we can treat it with the  following symptomatic mudra solutions:

Shoonya Vaayu Mudra

Touch the tips of the middle and the index  fingers to the root of the thumb. Place the  thumb on the backs of these two fingers.  K e e p the remaining two fingers  comfortably straight. Place your

palms on the thighs.

Practise for 16 minutes,

thrice a day, or 30 minutes,  twice a day.

Vaayu Surabhi Mudra

Touch the tips of your fingers in the following  way:

The right pinky to the left ring finger and vice  versa.

The right middle finger to the left index finger  and vice versa.

Touch the tip of the thumb to the root  of the corresponding

index finger.

Start with 5 minutes

on the first attempt and

then extend it up to 16

minutes by adding 2

minutes each time.

Praan Mudra

Touch the tips of the ring and the little fingers  to the tip of the thumb. Keep the remaining two  fingers comfortably straight. Place your palms  on the thighs.

Practise for 16 minutes, twice or thrice a  day.

Now we  turn our  attention to the

specific reasons and their

remedies, one by one.

Stress

Practise either Jnaan Mudra for 48 minutes + Praan Mudra for 16 minutes once in the morning or  Jnaan Mudra for 16 minutes + Praan Mudra for 6 minutes, thrice a day.

Connect the  tips of both ring fingers. Touch the backs of the folded middle and index fingers to the same of the  opposite hand. Keep your palms near the navel.
