The brighter side
May 2023
Dear Reader,
The summer has officially started, and the sky is pelting fire. Like everything, each con has a pro and vice versa. I have seen that most people are quick to complain about the extremities of the weather. It’s either too hot, too cold, or too rainy.
While it’s a joy to be in a temperate climate, where every element of nature is in perfect harmony and balance, for certain things to come to fruition, extremities are necessary. Without extreme heat, oceans would not evaporate and clouds would not condense, carrying the much-needed pure water necessary to irrigate the earth and give birth to a new cycle of life. It’s easier to wake up early and have more time to work and play as the days get longer, thanks to the earth coming closer to the sun. Our much-loved mango requires high temperatures to acquire its legendary sweetness. We can either choose to look at the brighter side of things and enjoy life or grumble about the pain and discomfort and make things worse.
This month, we have some very good articles for you to take inspiration from. Helping the Young Ones Take Wing tackles the problem of readying our children to face the ruggedness of life. As parents, our desire is to give our children all that we were deprived of. But this does not exempt them from facing the challenges they are meant to undergo as part of their life plan. Let’s raise them in a way that makes them optimistic and resilient—not despondent and fatalistic—in the face of hardships. This will be our real victory.
We also have articles on the doctrine of non-violence, the benefit of living a holistic life, and an interview with guru Nandkishore Tiwari So make the most of the summer season and enjoy the issue.
